Safety Checklist
Twelve things your group handles before and during the ride, so the driver can handle the road.
Hiring a party bus already solves the biggest safety question of the night: nobody in your group is driving. Drivers are licensed, drug-tested, background-checked, and commercially insured, and vehicles carry safety and emergency equipment. What remains is the group side, the small habits that keep 15 people together across three stops in two different districts, and that is what this 12-item checklist covers in about five minutes.

How to use the safety checklist
- 1
Assign the people items first
Pick the sober point person and the two riders who will exchange numbers with the driver. Those three names go in the group text before anything else.
- 2
Handle the logistics items
Share the pickup and drop-off addresses, set a meeting point at each stop, and have everyone save the driver contact once it is sent two days ahead of the ride.
- 3
Pack to the rules
Swap glass for cans and plastic cups, bring water, and eat a full meal before the first drink. Food stays off the bus, so plan that meal as a stop or before pickup.
- 4
Finish the list on the bus
Keep belongings in one bag, set phones so the point person can get through, and toss cups and bottles into the onboard trash bags before the final stop.
A lake birthday from Saginaw to the Stockyards
Eighteen friends celebrate a 30th with a 5 PM pickup near Eagle Mountain Lake, dinner on Exchange Avenue, and a late set at Billy Bob's. The birthday girl's sister takes the point-person role, two cousins trade numbers with the driver, and the pickup and drop-off addresses go in the chat the night before. Everyone brings canned drinks and a water bottle, and the group picks the front door of each venue as the meeting spot. At the last stop the point person calls a five-minute cleanup, cups and cans go in the bus bags, and the checklist reads 12 of 12 before the ride back to Saginaw, about 15 minutes from downtown.
Why this matters for a Fort Worth group
Each line is a tap-to-complete task, with a progress count and bar at the top. The items include naming a sober point person, sharing the driver's number with everyone, leaving glass at home, knowing the pickup and drop-off addresses in advance, setting a meeting point at each stop, having two people exchange numbers with the driver, keeping personal items in one bag, and tossing bottles and cups before the last stop using the trash bags on board.
The list works for any event, but it earns its keep on nights with a lot of movement. A lake birthday that starts in Saginaw and ends in the Stockyards has two long drives and a crowded district. A 21st birthday around TCU has guests arriving separately. Run the list in the group chat the day before, assign names to each item, and you will spend the night enjoying it rather than counting heads.
The roof exit is not a photo spot
It is illegal to stand through the emergency roof exit, and opening or damaging it carries a $250 charge. Add that to your group reminder for any rowdy birthday or bachelor crowd.
Count seats, not friends
Vehicles cannot be loaded beyond seating capacity. If three extra people show up at a Saginaw pickup for an 18-passenger bus, they are not riding. Confirm the headcount a week out and book two seats of margin.
Mixed-age groups need a parent on board
Alcohol is not allowed on a vehicle with minors unless a parent or legal guardian is present, and no large backpacks are allowed on prom, homecoming, or underage events without one. If a driver suspects underage drinking, the run stops with no refund.
