How Many Hours Should You Book a Party Bus in Fort Worth? Minimums, Real Itineraries, and Overtime

Vehicles are reserved in blocks so they can be maintained and staffed with a professional driver, and the start and end times can be adjusted to fit your event. The question is how big a block to book. Seventy-seven percent of Fort Worth quotes start at the 4-hour minimum, 14% at 6 hours, and 4% at 5, but among trips that actually book, 48% are 4 hours, 17% are 5, 19% are 6, and about 13% run 7 or more. In other words, about half of groups add time once they map the night.

The minimums

• Friday and Saturday nights: 4 hours.
• Sunday through Thursday, and Friday or Saturday pickups before 5 PM: 3 hours on select vehicles where that option is shown.
• Every Saturday in March, April, and May: 6 hours for all event types, because those are prom dates across Tarrant County.

You can always book more than the minimum.

What counts toward your hours

Everything between the first pickup and the last drop-off: drive time from the suburbs, every stop, wait time at a venue, and split drop-offs at the end. Unlimited stops are included, but they all run on the clock.

Rules of thumb from Fort Worth itineraries:

• Sit-down dinner stop: 60 to 90 minutes. Food stays off the vehicle, so dinner is always a stop.
• Quick taco or drive-through run: 20 minutes.
• Each bar stop: 45 to 60 minutes, plus 10 to 15 minutes between West 7th, Magnolia, downtown, and the Stockyards.
• Each extra home pickup: 10 to 15 minutes. Three or more addresses add 30 to 45 minutes.
• Suburb to downtown Fort Worth: Aledo about 25 minutes, Keller and Mansfield 25 to 30, Arlington 25 (45 on game day), Dallas 35 to 50.
• Post-concert or post-game pickup: allow 20 to 30 minutes for crowds.

Four hours fits

• A central Fort Worth pickup, dinner, and two or three bars across two districts.
• A holiday light tour with a cocoa stop.
• A TCU tailgate and game with a nearby pickup.
• A Sunday brewery loop of three taprooms (which may qualify for 3 hours).

Five hours fits

• A suburb pickup 25 to 35 minutes out, dinner, and a Fort Worth night out.
• A quinceañera afternoon: church, photos, and the reception drop-off.
• A concert at Dickies Arena with a pre-show dinner and post-show pickup.

Six hours fits

• Prom night: home pickups, photos, dinner, the dance, and drop-offs (and it is the minimum on spring Saturdays anyway).
• A wedding day: wedding-party pickup, photos, ceremony, reception, and a late shuttle.
• A Fort Worth to Arlington game with tailgating and game-day traffic.
• Any Fort Worth night that adds Dallas.

Eight to ten hours fits

• A WinStar or Choctaw casino run (about 90 minutes each way plus five or six hours there).
• A Texas Motor Speedway race weekend.
• Multi-stop wine trips to Grapevine and Granbury.

Bookings over about 12 hours typically require driver lodging or a second driver, and overnight use is only possible if the vehicle stays with the group. Send a full itinerary for a custom quote.

Why not just extend on the night?

Overtime begins 15 minutes past the scheduled end, is charged at the hourly rate on the run sheet (for all-inclusive rates, the total divided by the reserved hours), and is only allowed if it is prearranged with the driver. The catch is availability: the vehicle may be reserved for another group afterward, in which case extending is not possible at any price. A 30-minute buffer built into the booked block is cheaper and far more reliable.

Package pricing

We quote 4-, 5-, and 6-hour totals rather than a raw hourly number so you can see what the whole night costs. Every total includes the vehicle, driver, fuel, taxes, and gratuity. Extra hours are billed by the hour for the vehicle you booked.
