Minimum Hours Checker

Find out in seconds whether the hours you plan to book will survive a real Fort Worth itinerary.

The minimum is a floor, not a plan. Friday and Saturday nights in Fort Worth carry a 4-hour minimum, Sunday through Thursday and daytime weekend pickups can qualify for 3 hours on select vehicles, and every Saturday in March, April, and May is a prom date with a 6-hour minimum for all event types. About 77% of quotes start at four hours, yet roughly half of the groups that actually book end up reserving more. The gap is usually an itinerary that was never timed out.

How to use the minimum hours checker

  1. 1

    Choose the day type

Select Friday or Saturday night, a spring Saturday (March through May), a weekend pickup before 5 PM, or a Sunday through Thursday date. The minimum for that day loads automatically.

  2. 2

    Count your stops

Slide to the number of places you actually want to get out: a restaurant on Magnolia Avenue, two bars on West 7th, Billy Bob's. Each one is budgeted at about 55 minutes with driving.

  3. 3

    Add home pickups

Set how many addresses the driver visits before the first stop. The first one is included in the opening hour; every extra address adds about 12 minutes.

  4. 4

    Set the hours you planned

Move the last slider to the block you intended to request and compare it with the recommended block the tool prints.

  5. 5

    Use the bigger number

If the recommendation is higher than your plan, request that many hours. Quotes are all-inclusive, so the only thing that changes is the length of the night.

A Stockyards bachelor party on a Friday night

Twelve guys are staying at a hotel in the West 7th corridor (76107) with one more rider getting picked up at a house in Arlington Heights. The plan is dinner on Magnolia Avenue, Billy Bob's Texas, and a last round on West 7th: three stops and two pickups. The math is 60 minutes for the opening window, 165 minutes for three stops, 12 minutes for the second address, and a 30-minute buffer, or 267 minutes. That rounds up to 5 hours, one more than the Friday minimum. Booking four would leave the group negotiating overtime outside Billy Bob's.

Why this matters for a Fort Worth group

This checker does the timing for you. Choose when the event falls, slide in how many stops you want (dinner, bars, a venue) and how many home addresses the driver collects from, then set the hours you were thinking of booking. The tool assumes about 55 minutes per stop including the driving between them, adds 12 minutes for each extra pickup address, starts with a 60-minute first pickup and dinner window, and tacks on a 30-minute buffer so the last drop-off does not become overtime.

The result is the recommended block. If it matches or beats the hours you planned, you are set. If it comes back higher, treat that as the number to put on your quote request. Overtime starts 15 minutes past the scheduled end and is only possible when the vehicle is free afterward, which on a Fort Worth Saturday it often is not.

Spring Saturdays are six hours for everyone

A 30th birthday on an April Saturday competes with prom for the same 14- to 20-passenger vehicles and carries the same 6-hour minimum. If six hours is more than you want, a Friday night in the same week drops to four.

A sit-down dinner eats most of the first hour

Food stays off the vehicle, so a dinner stop is a real stop. Allow 60 to 90 minutes for a sit-down restaurant, or about 20 minutes for a taco run, and count it as one of your stops.

Suburban pickups add up quickly

Collecting riders across Keller, North Richland Hills, and Haltom City can add 30 to 45 minutes before anyone reaches Fort Worth. Three or more addresses almost always push a 4-hour night to five.

FAQ

Minimum Hours Checker questions

Specific to this tool and how Fort Worth groups use it.

Because your stops and pickups take longer than the minimum block allows. The checker multiplies stops by about 55 minutes, adds time for extra addresses, and includes a 60-minute opening window plus a 30-minute buffer. When that total exceeds the day's minimum, the higher number is what you should book.
